Growing Tips for Ghost OG

Ghost OG is easy to cultivate and can be taken on by novice cultivators with limited experience in growing cannabis. Ghost OG marijuana plants will thrive indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the ability to completely control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. Ghost OG cannabis seeds grow into plants with vibrant buds. The bud sites are coated with trichomes and white pistils or hairs, giving them a sugary and sweet appearance.

If you choose to grow outdoors, you will need consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to completion. Doing so will ensure that you grow healthy buds from the top of the plants to the buds closest to the soil. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate without having to contend with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow to a short height and can reach around 60–150 centimetres tall. Because the plants reach a maximum indoor and outdoor height of less than 150 centimetres, you should be able to grow multiple plants in a smaller outdoor area, in accordance with the allowance of up to four plants per household for personal use under Canadian federal law. Indoor grows should be one plant per grow area.

The ideal temperature for these plants is around 21–27 degrees Celsius and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept around 30–50% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage, but lowering the humidity incrementally each week will help this plant thrive. Growing indoors will ensure that moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are consistent and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages.

Topping and Low-stress training (LST) methods are the best training techniques for this particular strain of cannabis. If performed correctly and at the right time, these techniques will promote bud production and increase final yields. LST manipulates the plants by tying down the branches to increase the size and density of the buds while allowing them to grow almost naturally. Topping is used to control the height of the plant and buds. The Ghost OG strain requires an 18–20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative growth stage. Changing the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle will help to induce the flowering stage of growth and get your plants to harvest.

• Yields: Indoor yields are around 350 grams per square metre, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 250 grams per plant. The quality of these buds more than makes up for the smaller yields.
• Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the middle of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
