Bubba OG Seeds
Bubba OG is an indica-heavy cultivar with 23% THC and a strong body high that leaves you relaxed and couch-locked. Its rich flavour and aroma mix earth, spice, coffee, and citrus.
Growing Tips for Bubba OG
Bubba OG is a tough one to grow—best left to experienced growers. It does fine indoors or out, but indoor grows are easier thanks to controlled temperatures and humidity. Aim for a Mediterranean-style setup: 20–27°C during the day, a bit cooler at night, and 40–50% humidity through veg and flower. Outdoors, a greenhouse works best to avoid climate swings common across much of Canada. These plants get tall—around 1.8–2.4 metres—and need plenty of room to stretch. Topping, pruning, ScrOG, and LST will help boost your yields. Stick to an 18–20 hour light cycle for veg, then switch to 12/12 to trigger flowering.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Bubba OG strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days.
- Yields: Indoor yields are around 500 grams per square metre, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 800 grams per plant. Master growers will harvest massive yields of potent and pungent buds come harvest time.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the middle of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Bubba OG: Unique and Complex
The Bubba OG terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while myrcene, linalool, and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Caryophyllene: Most Dominant - Spicy and peppery, this terpene can be found in cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, and cannabis.
- Myrcene: Secondary Terpene - The "Mother of all Terpenes", myrcene gives cannabis its earthy flavour and aroma. Myrcene can be found in several cannabis strains.
- Limonene: Citrus - Found in the rinds of citrus fruits, this terpene is also prominent in cannabis plants, where it is associated with uplifting and refreshing qualities.
- Linalool: Floral - Linalool is most commonly found in lavender and cannabis varieties. It gives off a floral bouquet in both.
