Growing Tips for Bluniverse
Bluniverse can be a challenge to grow, so it's best suited for growers with some experience under their belt. It performs well both indoors and outdoors, but indoor grows offer better control over its preferred environment—warm days, cooler nights, and steady humidity. Aim for temperatures between 18–27°C and humidity levels between 40–62%. These plants grow medium to tall (up to 1.5 metres) and benefit from regular pruning. The pale green colour comes from heavy trichome coverage. If growing outdoors, a greenhouse is ideal to protect against weather swings common across much of Canada. Use LST or HST techniques to boost yields. Maintain an 18–20 hour light cycle during the vegetative stage, then flip to 12/12 to trigger flowering.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Bluniverse strain to be ready for harvest after a flowering period of 60–70 days.
- Yields: Indoor yields are around 400 grams per square metre, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 500 grams per plant. These yields are impressive considering the THC content and quality of the buds.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the end of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Bluniverse: Universally Loved
The Bluniverse terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, as well as the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is myrcene, while ocimene, pinene, and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Myrcene: Most Dominant - The "Mother of all terpenes", myrcene is commonly found in most cannabis cultivars.
- Ocimene: Secondary Terpene - The monoterpene ocimene is commonly found in cannabis plants, basil, mint, mangoes, and orchids.
- Pinene: Conifer Trees - Pinene is mostly found in cannabis plants and pine needles, as well as conifer trees. It gives cannabis a piney taste and aroma.
- Limonene: Citrus Flavour and Aroma - You can find limonene in the rinds of citrus fruits and in cannabis plants.
