Alpha Blue Seeds
Alpha Blue is a sativa-dominant hybrid with bold blueberry-fruit punch flavour and a vivid, energetic high. It's bright, buzzy, and great for creative days and good vibes.
Growing Tips for Alpha Blue Seeds
Alpha Blue is a tall, vigorous plant that is easy to grow even if it is your first time cultivating cannabis. Standing at about 3 feet when fully grown, Alpha Blue can be grown both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor growers typically utilise a greenhouse to grow this strain, as it is easier to control the climate and temperature within a greenhouse environment. Indoor growers should have an easier time bringing this strain to harvest. Alpha Blue is naturally resistant to pests, mould, and mildew. Providing ample lighting, maintaining a consistent temperature range of 21–29 degrees Celsius, and ensuring relative humidity levels stay around 50% during flowering are critical for optimal growth. Outdoor cultivation requires a warm, semi-humid climate to produce bud-rich plants. Due to the plant's size and structure, implementing topping and Low-Stress Training (LST) methods can increase yields, as these methods promote more bud production in less space and in a shorter time frame. These methods also help to control the canopy, allowing more light and air to reach the lower levels of the plant. In the vegetative stage, you should provide 18–20 hours of light each day. To induce the flowering stage of growth, you should switch the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Alpha Blue strain to reach harvest after a flowering period of 55–65 days.
- Yields: Indoor yields are around 350 grams per square metre, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 450 grams per plant. For an easy grow, these yields are fantastic. First-time cultivators should be delighted with these numbers, given the high THC content and abundance of resin-covered buds.
- Harvest: Grown outside in Canada, plants should be ready to harvest from approximately the beginning to the middle of October.
Alpha Blue Terpenes: Fruity Blueberries
The Alpha Blue terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, as well as the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is myrcene, while pinene and caryophyllene are secondary terpenes.
- Myrcene: Most Dominant – Often called the "Mother of all Terpenes", myrcene gives cannabis its earthy and woodsy flavour and aroma.
- Pinene: Secondary Terpene – Found in pine needles, conifer trees, and cannabis, this terpene contributes a fresh, distinctive flavour and aroma.
- Caryophyllene: Spicy and Peppery – Caryophyllene, known for its spicy and peppery character, can be found in cloves and cinnamon.
