Growing Tips for Cuvee

The Cuvee cannabis cultivar is easy to grow even if you are a novice horticulturist. Cuvee marijuana plants will thrive indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the ability to completely control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. Cuvee cannabis seeds grow into bushy plants that are bright green with buds that are coated in sugary-looking resinous trichomes. If you choose to grow outdoors, you will need consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to completion. Doing so will ensure that you grow healthy buds from the top of the plants to the buds closest to the soil. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate without having to contend with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow to a medium height and can reach around 60–213 centimetres tall. Because the plants reach a maximum indoor and outdoor height of approximately 213 centimetres, they require a bit more vertical space to grow successfully. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 20–30 degrees Celsius and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept around 30–50% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage, but lowering the humidity every week will help this plant grow. Growing indoors will ensure that moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are consistent and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Topping, Sea of Green (SOG), Screen of Green (ScrOG), and Low-stress training (LST) methods will get these plants to harvest. These techniques will help to increase the total yields and bud production. Each method will alter the canopy so that light and air reach the lowest buds on the plant and will reinforce the heaviest bud sites so they don’t break the branches. The Cuvee strain requires an 18–20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. Changing the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle will help to induce the flowering stage of growth and ultimately get you to your harvest.

Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest

  • Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Cuvee strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55–65 days.
  • Yields: Indoor yields are around 450 grams per square metre, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 600 grams per plant. The Cuvee strain produces hefty yields of dank and delicious buds.
  • Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the middle of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.

Cuvee: Flowery Citrus

The Cuvee cannabis strain terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while myrcene and terpinolene are the secondary terpenes.

  • Caryophyllene: Most Dominant - This spicy and peppery terpene can be found in cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, and some cannabis cultivars.
  • Myrcene: Secondary Terpene - Known as the “Mother of All Terpenes”, myrcene gives cannabis plants their earthy flavour and aroma.
  • Terpinolene: Organic Compound - Reminiscent of pine needles, this terpene can be found in several different cannabis strains.
