Growing Tips for C4

C4 is an easy strain to grow, even if you have minimal experience growing and harvesting cannabis plants. C4 marijuana plants will thrive both indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the grower's ability to manage the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. C4 seeds produce plants that are dark green with hints of purple and flashes of orange. If you are going to grow outdoors, you will need to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to harvest. Doing so will ensure that you grow potent and pungent buds from the top of the plants to the bottom. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate they require without having to contend with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow to a medium size and can reach around 90–120 centimetres in height. Because the plants reach a maximum height of approximately 120 centimetres, they don't require as much headroom as other cannabis strains. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 20–35 degrees Celsius and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept at 40–80% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage. Growing indoors will ensure that moderate humidity levels and higher temperatures are constant and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Low-stress training (LST) and the Screen of Green (ScrOG) training methods are the best techniques for this strain. These methods promote an increase in yields when it comes time for you to harvest. Each method requires a little bit more work but will result in higher yields. The C4 strain requires an 18–20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. Changing the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle will induce the flowering stage of growth and carry your plants all the way to harvest.

Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest

• Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the C4 strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55–65 days.
• Yields: Indoor yields are around 400 grams per square metre, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 500 grams per plant. Considering how easy this strain can be to grow, these yields are quite impressive.
• Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the middle of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
