Aberdeen Auto: Diesel and Cheese

Aberdeen Auto seeds grow into short and bushy plants with long buds and longer leaves. The leaves on this strain are sparse at the bud sites, allowing those buds to breathe and grow because of the direct sunlight they attract. The buds grow in bunches all the way to the top of the middle stem of this plant. Looking closely at the buds, you can see that they are coated with dusty trichomes, which makes them appear white in colour. They are actually quite green, but when the light hits that sugary-looking resin, the colour changes. Poking through the resin are orange and red pistils. Those pistils transfer to the harvested nuggets. Those nuggets are dense and hard to break up. They pack a hefty punch when smoked. It is thought that because Aberdeen Auto is such an acquired taste it has yet to win any major awards. The strain does have tons of quality reviews online that promote what it does and how the effects feel, but it still hasn't taken home any trophies for its excellence. The popularity of Aberdeen is strictly word-of-mouth, which has taken a lot of cannabis strains to new heights and is a precursor to Cannabis Cup victories.

Growing Tips for Our Seeds

If you have little to no experience cultivating your own cannabis plants, then Aberdeen Auto is not the strain for you. Aberdeen Auto requires loads of attention and a delicate touch by a green thumb to thrive. The strain performs best in warm, sunny climates with ample humidity. Indoors or out, Aberdeen does not require a lot of space to grow to completion, which means you can plant more than one plant and increase your yields exponentially. Providing Aberdeen with the tools it needs to grow will benefit you in the long run as a seasoned grower and cultivator.

Dial in Your Growing Conditions

  • Indoor or Outdoor: Aberdeen Auto cannabis can be grown indoors and outdoors by experienced growers. The desired temperature for this strain is between 18–27°C and slightly cooler at night. This strain requires 18 hours of light during the vegetative stage and does not require a change in light cycle to induce the flowering stage because it is an autoflowering variety.
  • Moisture Control: Humidity levels of approximately 40–50% during the vegetative phase, gradually decreasing to 40% or lower during the flowering stage. This change in humidity will help keep mould and bud rot off of your plants.
  • Training Techniques: Low-stress training (LST) is the best training method for this strain. The method shifts the canopy and branches so that light hits the lowest bud sites. Because this strain grows short and bushy it doesn't need a lot of training to be successful.

Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest

  • Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Aberdeen Auto strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 45–55 days. If you are growing outside, then you can expect flowering to occur in early October.
  • Yields: Indoor yields are around 450 grams per square metre, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 550 grams per plant. This short plant produces a lot of quality buds and a high yield. These numbers are great, considering how much care and attention this strain requires to grow to completion.

Dominant Terpenes in Aberdeen Auto: Fuel for the Mind

The Aberdeen Auto terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while myrcene and terpinolene are secondary terpenes.

  • Caryophyllene: Most Dominant - Found in cinnamon and black pepper, this terpene adds a bit of spice to the cannabis plant.
  • Myrcene: Secondary Terpene – Earthy and woody scents and flavours. This terpene is one of the most frequently seen terpenes in cannabis.
  • Terpinolene: Woody and Citrus – This terpene provides a woody and citrus flavour and aroma when found in cannabis.

Dominant Cannabinoids in Aberdeen Auto:

Cannabinoids play an important role in Aberdeen Auto seeds and are generally a huge part of most strains of cannabis. That uplifted, euphoric, and happy feeling you get when enjoying the Aberdeen Auto strain is due to its dominant cannabinoids. Each cannabinoid does something different to the user.

  • THC: The Main Character - THC is the most dominant cannabinoid on the molecular level of this strain. The crystalline compound tetrahydrocannabinol is the main ingredient of cannabis. Topping out at 15–17%, the THC in this Sativa-dominant strain is responsible for the euphoric and relaxed feeling you get when enjoying Aberdeen Auto cannabis.
  • CBD: Very Minimal Amounts - While the CBD levels in Aberdeen Auto are around 1%, the cannabinoid is still present, and the effects are noticeable in this strain. CBD plays a smaller role in what the strain does to the user. CBD is non-psychoactive and can produce effects that help with anxiety, sleep, pain, and even stress. The CBD in the Aberdeen Auto strain, even in its lower amounts, definitely has a positive effect on the user.
